Any C.N.C. machine tool with a probe and sphere fitting software can be evaluated for all geometry related errors with a simple Ball Bar (Dumbbell) at extremely modest cost. Machining cells can be evaluated quickly with a special hardened version of the Super Ball Bar (Dumbbell) Thing.
