The
Authenticator is used to determine the
precise axis the of spindle rotation and tool changer
repeatability of machine tool spindles (with microinch
accuracy). After the sphere of the Authenticator is
aligned to the spindle axis, it is just a matter of
carefully measuring the point to point error.
