The Way Out Ball Bar (Dumbbell) Support is a new device capable of evaluating the performance of even the most accurate new Coordinate Measuring Machines. The accuracy of the data collected during Ball Bar (Dumbbell) evaluation is greatly improved by this new device. It prevents any bending or twisting of the Ball Bar (Dumbbell) caused by the contact force of the C. M. M. measuring probe. The Ball Bar (Dumbbell) is an almost perfect C. M. M. artifact. It consists of two ultra precise spheres of exactly the same diameter that are securely attached to the opposite ends of a rather long rigid bar. The Way Out Ball Bar (Dumbbell) Support consists of a very rigid aluminum rail with a Kinematic coupling at each end that rigidly supports the master Ball Bar (Dumbbell). |
This new device meets all of the requirements of
the ANSI B89.4.1-1997 for "Performance Evaluation of Coordinate
Measuring Machines". It is designed to be compatible with all of
our existing Heavy Duty Stands and Anchors.
